2026 will be the year Amsterdam hosts its first Music Video Festival. Amsterdam is one of the most uniquely magical cities in the world, a place where millions of tourist and music lovers gather each year to experience its endless festivals and attractions. Amsterdam is also the birth place to some of the world's biggest music artist, yet, in a city brimming with creativity and energy, we've been missing a festival that matches the wonderfully absurd and artistic spirit Amsterdam has to offer. The Amsterdam Animation & Music Video Festival is here to change that. Our goal is to celebrate and reward artists for their incredible works in music video and animation. By offering free, unlimited submissions, we aim to open the doors wide to talent from all over the world, encouraging thousands of creative voices to share their work. And at the heart of this celebration is The Rent Award—a €10,000 prize given to one exceptional director, chosen for their outstanding vision and innovation

Beyond celebrating artistry, we want this festival to empower attendees with workshops that inspire and teach skills to last a lifetime—skills that can launch careers and build futures in the film and music video industries. Together, we'll create something that not only reflects the soul of Amsterdam but pushes its artistic legacy even further.
